Six Sided Bloom (S/S 2011)

Their joint debut collection “Six Sided Bloom” was dedicated to the geometrical aesthetics of the hexagon. Designers Tina Luther and Rosa Gröszer met at the Berlin-Weißensee Art College, where they discovered a shared preference for a mathematical approach to design. They describe themselves as fashion mathematicians.
Each collection is based on its own basic geometrical form, which is designed, draped, dissected, folded, knitted and printed.

Based on an artisan background, the designers take a contemporary look at traditional techniques and translate them so that they can be taken into the future. On the way there, the manufacturing process is examined at every stage of its development, in order to enable a sustainable design approach.
